December Sunset on Lake Champlain
December 13, 2009
It will be a while before Lake Champlain freezes. But when you feel the icy wind blowing across the lake and onto the shore (and against your face), it’s pretty evident that winter is here.
Still, the chill is well worth it on a cold, bright day when you can catch a gorgeous sunset. These photos were taken along the waterfront in Burlington.

Posted at 13:02h, 15 DecemberI’m getting caught up on the blogs – images of LC are wonderful. Not frozen, but still freezing. Coincidentally, we were at a party Sat almost next door to the horse farm.

Posted at 20:41h, 15 DecemberHi Larry – South Hero and North Hero in the Champlain Islands are beautiful. Bass fishing is quite good up there. Too bad you didn’t see our lake monster (his name is Champ, but Nessie works, too:)
Hi Kritter Keeper – You’ll have to come up to Burlington! It’s a fun city, and it’s nice place to visit (even in winter).
Hi Chris – Funny you were just down the road from the horse farm. Thanks for your kind words about the photos!
