Warren Vermont July 4th parade

Warren

Warren in the Mad River Valley draws a big crowd on July 4. The 2024 annual Warren Fourth of July Parade is one of the most legendary Vermont July 4th celebrations in the state. The parade starts at 10 a.m. with the theme,”State of the Union.” Jewel House warms up the crowd for the street dance at 11:15 a.m. The fun continues at Brooks Field at Warren Elementary School afterward. Brandon

Celebrate Independence Day on July 6, 2024 in Brandon with free events throughout the day from 9 a.m. to dusk. Enjoy a parade at 10 a.m., music in the parks, contests, a beer garden, a street dance from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., and and fireworks at dusk. Visit the event’s page on Facebook for details.

Peacham

Peacham’s Independence Day celebration on July 4, 2024 includes a kids’ mini-bicycle parade, a tractor parade, a horseshoe and cornhole contest, a church bell concert, food, music, farmers’ market and more. Kids’ bike parade starts at 9 a.m. and the tractor parade follows at 11 a.m. The fun lasts all day until 4 p.m. For details, visit peacham.org.

Brattleboro

Brattleboro Goes Fourth celebrates its 51st Independence Day event on July 4, 2024, starting with a parade at 10 a.m. on Main Street followed by a day of family activities and fireworks at Living Memorial Park. For details, visit the event’s page on Facebook.com.

Island Pond

Catch the Island Pond Independence Day Parade on July 6, 2024 at 11 a.m., followed by the American Legion Chicken Barbecue at noon.  At 6 p.m., enjoy live music on Catamount Stage in Lakeside Park. Shelburne

Celebrate the great outdoors and VSO’s 90th birthday on July 4, 2024 with fireworks and the 2024 Summer Festival Tour: Symphony of Stars! Join the orchestra for a memorable Vermont July 4th evening of music at Shelburne Museum. Show starts at 7:30 p.m., followed by fireworks after the show. Visit vso.org for details.

Brownsville

Enjoy fireworks, a parade, music, food and more at the Brownsville Independence Day celebration. The theme of this year’s two-day event is, “Country Road, Take Me Home.” Music, food and fireworks will be July 3, 2024 from 6 p.m. to dusk at Ascutney Mountain. St. Albans hosts its annual Bay Day celebration on July 6, 2024. Participate in the Great Race Triathlon, a tradition since 1979.  Stay for other Vermont July 4th events, including the volleyball tournament, paddle boat race, live music and fireworks. Poultney

Don’t miss the Poultney Independence Day Parade at 10 a.m. on July 4, 2024, which starts at the East Poultney Green.  On July 5, enjoy a day of family fun and an evening fireworks show at the Poultney Elementary School (rain date is July 7). Moscow parade in Stowe, Vermont

Stowe

The 40-something-year-old Moscow Parade returns to this tiny corner of Stowe at 10 a.m. for its annual stroll on Moscow Road on July 4, 2024. Afterward, the community kicks off its Old Fashioned Fourth of July celebration in Stowe Village, featuring a parade at noon a.m., and a day filled with food, music, activities and vendors on the Village Green between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. At 6 p.m. take part in the festivities and fireworks at the Mayo Fields. For more information, visit stowevibrancy.org.

Killington

Celebrate Independence Day in the town of Killington on July 4, 2024. Festivities include a parade on River Road, followed by a barbecue, swimming, music, fireworks and more. Visit killingtonvt.com for a full schedule.

If you’re anywhere near Vermont’s Capitol City on July 3, 2024, downtown Montpelier is the place to be. The fun begins at 3 p.m. with the July 3rd Food Truck Festival and Family Fest on the State House Lawn. The Montpelier Mile Road Race begins at 6 p.m. and kicks-off the community parade. Wardsboro

Come to the Wardsboro 75th Annual Street Fair and Parade on July 4, 2024. The Street Fair kicks off at 9 a.m., with a parade of floats, vintage cars, fire trucks and more starting at 10 a.m. You’ll find homemade strawberry shortcake and pies for sale, a chicken BBQ, old-fashioned children’s games and live original music performed by locals. Bristol

Bristol is home to one of the most festive two-day Vermont July 4th celebrations around. Enjoy live music, food, games, and fireworks at dusk on July 3, 2024. Lake Willoughby

Come to the 23rd annual Lake Willoughby Boat Parade on July 4, 2024. The theme is “Under the Sea.” This Vermont July 4th event is free to participate, and no registration is required. East Corinth

The 77th annual East Corinth Independence Day celebration on July 4, 2024 includes a parade with the theme: “Best of America – Small Town Pride” at 10 a.m. The parade is followed by a chicken barbecue at 11 a.m., available for take-out, sit down or tail gate. Hartland

    You missed Saxtons River! A small town turns out with a road race at 8, Parade at 11, and traditional games to follow. Hula hoop contest, egg toss and firefighters’ water polo on the street.
