Vermont July 4th celebrations range from funky parades and outdoor concerts to festivities on Main Streets and local town greens. If you’re planning on being in Vermont on Independence Day in 2025, here are some of the best places to celebrate.

Vermont July 4th Festivities & Fireworks
Warren in the Mad River Valley draws a big crowd on July 4, 2025. The annual Warren Fourth of July Parade is one of the most legendary Vermont July 4th celebrations in the state. The parade starts at 10 a.m. with the theme,”Stand Up for Democracy!” Jewel House warms up the crowd for the street dance at 11:15 a.m. The fun continues at Brooks Field at Warren Elementary School afterward, with music by Phineas Gage & Phriends, kids activities and more. Head up to Sugarbush’s Lincoln Peak for fireworks at dusk. For more information, visit madrivervalley.com/4th.
Brandon
Celebrate Independence Day on July 5, 2025 in Brandon with free events throughout the day from 9 a.m. to dusk. Enjoy a “Sunflower” themed parade at 10 a.m., music in the parks, contests, a beer garden, a street dance from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., and and fireworks at dusk. Brattleboro
Brattleboro Goes Fourth celebrates its annual Independence Day event on July 4, 2025, starting with a parade at 10 a.m. on Main Street followed by a day of family activities and fireworks at Living Memorial Park. For details, visit the event’s page on Facebook.com.
Strafford
Celebrate Independence Day on July 5, 2025 in Strafford with a road race at 9:30 a.m. a parade at 11:30 a.m., plus a book sale, games, activities, food and more. The Strafford Volunteer Fire and Rescue hosts its annual chicken BBQ at 5 p.m. Enjoy chicken, creamed corn, salad, roll drink, and homemade dessert. $15 per meal. On July 4, spend the day at a local softball game, book sale and opening reception of “The Minis for Morrill” at the Justin Morrill Homestead.
Island Pond
Catch the Island Pond Independence Day Parade on July 5, 2025 at 11 a.m., followed by the American Legion chicken barbecue at noon. At 6 p.m., enjoy live music on Catamount Stage in Lakeside Park. Shelburne
Celebrate the great outdoors and VSO’s 90th birthday on July 4, 2025 with fireworks and the 2025 Summer Festival Tour: Summer of Love! Join the orchestra for a memorable Vermont July 4th evening of music at Shelburne Museum. Show starts at 7:30 p.m., followed by fireworks after the show. Visit vso.org for details.
Brownsville
Enjoy fireworks, a parade, music, food and more at the Brownsville Independence Day celebration. Music, food and fireworks will be July 3, 2025 from 6 p.m. to dusk at Ascutney Mountain. St. Albans
St. Albans hosts its annual Bay Day celebration on July 5, 2025. Participate in the Great Race Triathlon, a tradition since 1979. Stay for other Vermont July 4th events, including foos, games, live music and fireworks. Learn more about St. Albans’ July 4th festivities.
Greensboro
Greensboro’s Funky Fourth Celebration kicks off with a parade on July 5, 2025 at 10 a.m. with the theme, “Freedom and Unity.” The parade will feature Bread and Puppet Theatre, Greensboro’s Lawn Mower Brigade, mega farm equipment, cows, horses, dogs and more. After the parade, enjoy a picnic on the lawn of the Town Hall, a silent charity auction, an art show, a dunk tank, library book sale and more. Poultney
Don’t miss the Poultney Independence Day Parade at 10 a.m. on July 4, 2025, which starts at the East Poultney Green and ends with a fantastic fireworks show at dusk. The Lake St. Catherine Boat Parade will be July 5. Visit poultneyrecreation.com.
Stowe
The legendary Moscow Parade returns to this tiny corner of Stowe at 10 a.m. for its annual stroll on Moscow Road on July 4, 2025. Afterward, the community kicks off its Old Fashioned Fourth of July celebration in Stowe Village, featuring a parade at noon, and a day filled with food, music, activities and vendors on the Village Green between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. At 6 p.m. take part in the festivities and fireworks at dusk at the Mayo Fields. Killington
Celebrate Independence Day in the town of Killington on July 4, 2025. Festivities include a parade on River Road, followed by a barbecue, swimming, music, fireworks and more. Visit killingtonvt.com for a full schedule.

Come to the Wardsboro 75th Annual Street Fair and Parade on July 4, 2025. The Street Fair kicks off at 9 a.m., with a parade of floats, vintage cars, fire trucks and more. Bristol
Bristol is home to one of the most festive two-day Vermont July 4th celebrations around. Enjoy live music, food, games, and fireworks at dusk on July 3, 2025. East Corinth
