Erica Houskeeper is a freelance writer and photographer based in Burlington, Vermont. Her family moved to Vermont in 1979, and she’s been calling the Green Mountains home ever since.
For five years, Erica served as director of communications for the Vermont Department of Tourism and Marketing, where she shared her expertise with journalists and travelers from around the world.
Erica started Happy Vermont in 2009 to share tips about exploring Vermont, and she launched Happy Vermont’s podcast in 2020. Erica has been interviewed and featured in several media outlets, including Travel + Leisure, The Boston Globe, Vermont Public Radio, The Burlington Free Press, WDEV, and Seven Days.
Dave Barron is the creative director for Pluck, a graphic design studio in Burlington, Vermont. For the past 15 years, Dave has designed for companies large and small, specializing in branding across multiple media, including print, digital, and environmental.
He works with clients in the education, performing arts, hospitality, e-commerce, and retail industries, as well as municipal and non-profit organizations. His client roster includes the University of Vermont, Thetford Academy, Circus Smirkus, The Estate of F. Scott Fitzgerald, Vermont Farm to Plate, Honeypie restaurant, Do North Coworking, Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission, and the University Mall. Dave lives in Burlington with his wife and daughter, and spends his free time fly fishing and snowboarding.
