Bridge Lighting Ceremony and Lantern Parade in Montpelier

The second annual Lantern Parade and Bridge Lighting Celebration in Montpelier, marking the completion of the Bridge Illumination Project and officially transforming Montpelier into the City of Bridges.

The evening begins at 5 p.m. on Langdon Street with light refreshments and opening remarks, followed by a Lantern Parade at 5:30 p.m. The procession will travel down Main Street, across the newly lit Shaw’s Pedestrian Bridge, and end at the Taylor Street Bridge, where Cirque de Fuego will dazzle the crowd with a fiery performance.

Afterward, participants are encouraged to warm up in downtown restaurants and bars for dinner, drinks, and live music.
