First Day Hike at Brighton State Park

Start the new year on the right foot with a hike in the great outdoors. On January 1, everyone is invited to join a free, guided, family-friendly hike taking place at many state parks, state forests, and other public lands across Vermont. Hikes are led by professional guides and outdoor educators eager to share their knowledge and love of Vermont’s outdoors.
Explore Brighton State Park on New Year’s Day. There are many trail options—from the Boreal Forest Trail to the Main Trail—with options in between. Plan to meet at the Contact Station by 10 a.m. where everyone will break into groups.
