Start the new year on the right foot with a hike in the great outdoors. On January 1, everyone is once again invited to join a free, guided, family-friendly hike taking place at many state parks, state forests, and other public lands across Vermont. Hikes are led by professional guides and outdoor educators eager to share their knowledge and love of Vermont’s outdoors.
This moderate three-mile hike explores a picturesque undeveloped park with sweeping views of the Taconic Mountain Range and the Valley of Vermont. Descend a steep trail to a beautiful, peaceful Japanese style garden with impressive rock and water features.
Snowshoes and/or traction aids required depending on conditions.
