History Along the River in Vernon
October 27, 2024 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

The Vernon Historians present a fascinating and wide-ranging program about life along their stretch of the Connecticut River by local teacher and historian Joe Rivers.
It includes subjects like Native American trade routes, Fort Dummer, early commerce on the river, Island Park, prohibition and the island, and the hydroelectric dam. The descriptions of life on the river will be illustrated by photographs shared by the Brattleboro Historical Society.
