Kinhaven Music Youth Artist Seminar Concert in Manchester

Kinhaven Music School’s Young Artist Seminar, in partnership with Taconic Music, offers a concert of chamber music at Israel Congregation of Manchester.
The program will include the String Quartet in F Minor, Op.95 by Ludwig van Beethoven, the Piano Trio No.2 in E Minor, Op.67 by Dmitri Shostakovich and the Piano Quintet in F# Minor, Op. by Amy Beach. The program will conclude with a short set of Bach chorales and English madrigals.
The Kinhaven Young Artist Seminar (YAS) is an intensive, one-week program dedicated to the study of the chamber music repertoire. Open to college and pre-professional students, YAS is committed to offering an experience in line with Kinhaven’score values of community, rigor and joy in music-making.
Over the course of this week in Weston, 34 highly accomplished students have gathered to form eight chamber ensembles in order to study, rehearse and perform. Students who attend the program are wonderful ambassadors for chamber music and are eager to share their joy with friends and neighbors in the community.
