Military Road Guided Hike at Mount Independence

Jim Rowe, historian for the Crown Point Road Association, leads a vigorous guided hike on the Hubbardton section of the 1776-77 military road to Mount Independence.
Meet at the Hubbardton Battlefield visitor center. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water. Then consider going on the August 17 auto tour of the first length of the road, starting at Mount Independence State Historic Site in Orwell at 10 a.m.
