Not Quite Independence Day Celebration in Waterbury

Not Quite Independence Day in Waterbury is a beloved annual celebration with a parade, music, food and drink, kids’ activities, fireworks and more.
Food and concessions open at 3 p.m. at Rusty Parker Memorial Park.
Parade starts at 4 p.m. with the theme “Vermont Weather.” The parade will head North on Main Street, starting at the State Complex (South) entrance and finishing at the rail bridge by Dac Rowe Field.
At 5 p.m. kids’ activities, including pig races, ring toss, face painting and fish pong begin in Rusty Parker Memorial Park.
At 6 p.m., enjoy a concert by 4Play at Rusty Parker Memorial Park until the fireworks start around 9 p.m.
More info:
- A suggested $5 donation per attendee will be requested to help fund the day’s events
- Food and beer sales will continue throughout the concert.
- The firework display will be visible from all over town, so find a spot with a clear view of the sky behind the State Complex.
- Parking at the State Complex is FREE of charge. Volunteers will ask for a donation to help cover costs for the day’s events.
- Parking for the fireworks is available behind the State Office Complex.
The event is hosted by the Waterbury Rotary Club.
