Calvin Coolidge was the first to President to host a National Tree Lighting Ceremony. The Coolidge State Historic Site will be celebrating the season with a tree lighting on the porch of the Cilley General Store at 1 p.m.
Immediately following, guests are invited to the historic Union Christian Church for caroling and recitations of President Coolidge’s Christmas addresses. Guests can also stroll through the historic village, pick-up last-minute holiday gifts at the museum gift shop clearance sale, make a live wreath, stencil holiday stationary, and taste cheeses at the Plymouth Cheese factory. Admission to this family- friendly event is free. Donations are always appreciated.
