24 Main Street’s second annual Chili Fest in Saxton’s River includes a chili cook-off, fresh cider tasting, fun fair, village exploration adventure for older children, silent auction, quilt raffle and a 50-50 raffle.
The chili cook-off starts at noon in front of the Community Building at 24 Main Street. Stick around for the Pleasant Valley Cabaret in the Assembly Hall at 2:30 p.m.
Dance with music provided by WOOL FM 91.5 Blacksheep Radio, grab a hot dog at The DogHouse, and enjoy a local brew from Mount Holly Beer. Additional beverages and desserts will be available at the River Refreshment Stand. Cook-off winners for Best Individual (Meat), Best Individual (Vegetarian), and Best Organization will be announced at 2:15 p.m.
After the cook-off, head over to the Assembly Hall, at 2:30 p.m., for Pleasant Valley Cabaret, a variety show of local acts. Cabaret admission is free, donations optional, and the silent auction’s final round of bidding will happen during intermission.
Winners for the auction, 50-50 raffle, and quilt raffle will be announced immediately when the Cabaret ends at 4 p.m.
