Zara Bode Little Big Band Performs July 28 at Guilford Community Park

Guilford, VT–The Zara Bode Little Big Band will be performing under the Guilford Community Park Pavillion on Monday evening, July 28, from 6-8 pm.

According to Guilford Park organizer Dwayne Johnson, this is a rare chance for music lovers to step back in time and swing into an unforgettable summer evening of “vintage flair and high-energy jazz.”

Johnson describes the Zara Bode Little Big Band as a dynamic 7-piece big band ensemble delivering classic big band swing with “infectious joy and style complementing the soulful Ella Fitzgerald-style vocals of acclaimed singer Zara Bode. With tight horn arrangements, snappy rhythms, and smooth harmonies, the band pays tribute to the golden age of jazz with both authenticity and a modern twist,” Johnson said.

Johnson explained that audience members of all ages can expect a lively mix of beloved standards and danceable swing tunes perfect for toe-tapping, dancing, or simply soaking in the summer sounds under the open sky. “Bring a blanket, your dancing shoes, and your love for timeless music,” Johnson said.

This is billed as a family-friendly rain-or-shine event that is part of the Guilford Community Park’s summer concert series.

Suggested donation is $10-20 per person but all are welcome.
