First Day Hike: LR Jones State Forest in Plainfield

Start the new year on the right foot with a hike in the great outdoors. On January 1, 2023, everyone is once again invited to join a free, guided, family-friendly hike taking place at many state parks, state forests, and other public lands across Vermont. Hikes are led by professional guides and outdoor educators eager to share their knowledge and love of Vermont’s outdoors.

This moderate hike is an off-trail adventure to explore some EAB infested trees and learn more about rich forest ecosystems. Snowshoes required.  Meet at Spruce Mountain trailhead.
